Street Party - Sunday 6th September, 12.30 to 4.30
This year’s Street Party will be from 12.30 to 4.00 on Sunday 6th September. Have fun getting to know your neighbours. Bring food to share at our communal feast. Join in our Village games. Dance the afternoon away to music from Lumara . Bouncy castle and other activities for your kids. See the fun we had in previous years here.
Deliberating Together - Achieving Shared Goals
People sometimes propose ideas for making our road an even more pleasant place in which to live. Someone then disagrees. The result:othing happens. We have developed an online tool to pool ideas, think creatively about them, maybe generate together an even better idea we can all get behind. Our new website uses this to gather your ideas about reducing crime, levelling pavements and ensuring all our trees thrive. Raising the Money we Need to Do the Things We Decide to Do
Up until now, we have asked residents to contribute to specific projects like trees or the street party. We are now inviting everyone in the street to set up a standing order. We will use your contributions to build a fund we can use to pay for the things we decide to do. We will aim to increase this multiple times with sponsorship and grants. Tackling Crime
Whenever someone has had their car stolen or house burgled, someone will suggest that we club together to hire a private security company to patrol our own, and surrounding, roads, Is this a good idea? If it is, how many people would be happy to pay for it? And how much would they be willing to pay. Or can we come up with a better approach? A Cleaner Street
We would all like to live in a cleaner street where we no longer have to look at dog poo bags, lastic bottles and paper bags every time we go for a walk. Go here to sign up for an occasional litterpick, and vote on some ideas for tackling this blight.
Levelling our Pavements
Ensuring our Trees Thrive
Over the past two years. we have purchased 52 new trees for our road. These have been planted by Brent”s contractor.
